Very folky house portrait of the Old Allen Homestead, On Middle Road, Waterboro, Maine painted by G. Haley, 1928. "Complimentary" inscribed lower left and lower right. Evidence of an itinerate artist supported by hand made stretcher and attention to detail, including patches in the roof. The house is a typical New England center chimney. The addition of the detailed inscription is quite desirable. From a collection in Dover, New Hampshire.
